City High’s girls swimming team competed at the regionals competition this weekend on November 2, 2013. The girls finished 4th overall with
Qualifying events:
The 200 medley relay with Alayna McCafferty 16’ (Backstroke), Elizabeth Brown, 15’ (Breaststroke), Paris Sissel, 17’ (Butterfly), and Alix Sharp (Freestyle) finished 2nd with a new school record of 1.52.16.
Elizabeth Brown 15’, finished 1st with a time of 1.06.55
Paris Sissel 17’, finished 12th with a time of 57.34
The 400 freestyle relay with Alayna McCafferty 16’, Paris Sissel 17’, Taylor Pajunen 17’, and Alix Sharp 16’ finished 4th with a time of 3.55.50
The team has qualified in the 4 events for the state meet this weekend, November 9th, 2013 in Marshalltown.
