As the winter sports season comes to a close, several City High athletes and a coach have earned MVC All-Conference Awards. Members of the boys and girls basketball teams were awarded MVC accolades earlier this week. The boys team finished their season with a record 11-12. The girls are  playing in the state tournament this coming weekend, March 7-8. They currently have a winning record of 23-0.

Mississippi Valley Division Coach of the Year: Bill McTaggart

Mississippi Valley Player of the Year: Haley Lorenzen ’14

First team: Kiera Washpun ’14 and Courtney Joens ’15

Honorable Mentions: Sara Blowers ’15 and Sam Blowers ’15

All Academic team: Peyton Koenig ’14 and Lorenzen

Boys:

Second team: Ladarius Taylor ’14

Honorable Mentions: Logan LaFauce ’15 and Austin Withrow ’14
