The National Merit Society Corporation has announced the names of the Semifinalists in the 6oth annual National Merit Scholarship Program, and among them are eight City High students. Of these approximately 16,000 chosen, about 90% will earn positions as Finalists, and more than half  will win one of about 7,600 Scholarships in the spring.

The students selected from City High are Anna Kaldjian, Xavier Fields, Tristan Knight, Elizabeth Brown, Genevieve Heimer-Lang, Naftalia Flatte, Annika Brashers-Krug, and Lucy Goodman.
