Last night the grand jury did not indict Ferguson Police officer Darren Wilson after the shooting and death of Michael Brown. The FBI and Justice Department are continuing to investigate potential civil rights violations.
According to International Business Times these are the case’s basic facts.
Darren Wilson shot and killed Michael Brown.
Brown was stopped for jaywalking.
Brown was unarmed.
Wilson shot Brown six times
At least one shot was fired from inside Wilson’s squad car.
Eyewitness accounts of the shooting differ. While all the accounts confirm that Brown first ran from Wilson before turning back, his reason for facing Wilson — whether to surrender or attack — was disputed.
Brown’s autopsy could support either story.
