Top 3 Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Theories

When Marvel released “Guardians Of The Galaxy” in 2014, everybody fell in love with the characters. So it’s no surprise that when the sequel was greenlit, fans freaked out. Throughout the past few months, three main trailers for the film have come out. This has led fans to start speculating what’s going to happen in the movie. In this article, I’m going to discuss the top fan theories that could possibly come true in “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2.

  1. The Guardians will go to earth:

Just because the Guardians aren’t protecting the earth alongside The Avengers currently doesn’t mean that they won’t in the near future. “Avengers: Infinity War is the next Avengers movie which will feature all of the superheroes fighting against the mad titan Thanos. So naturally, the Guardians will somehow find a way to make it to earth in time for the Spring of 2018. Some fans speculate that Thor will come into play with this theory happening.

  1. Thanos:

The biggest bad guy of all superhero movies…Thanos. He made his debut in the post-credits scene of the first Avengers movie. Ever since then, fans have wanted to see more of Thanos. Thankfully, we got to see him in two more of the Marvel films since then: GOTG and A:AOU. He will be featured in the next Avengers film as the main villain. When that was announced, fans started wondering when he would appear again. The best bet was Guardians 2. But director James Gunn has denied it saying that Thanos would not appear in Guardians 2 because it’s a stand-alone film from the other Marvel movies. Here’s the issue….why would they make a movie about characters in space who have connections to Thanos, but not show him?!? I think it would be a big mistake if they don’t show him in Guardians 2. So hopefully we will get to see him again before “Infinity War”.

  1. Peter Quill’s Dad (Ego) is a villain:

If you follow the news for this new Guardians film, it should be no surprise that Ego The Living Planet would appear. Ego is going to be Peter Quill’s dad and is played by the legendary Kurt Russell. If you read the comics, Peter’s dad is actually a bad guy. Fans started theorizing whether or not Ego was going to be a villain in the film because he’s a villain in the comics. James Gunn has come out and said that the story of Peter’s father won’t follow the exact same story line from the comics. But that doesn’t mean that he couldn’t not be a bad guy.

Hopefully, all of these theories are true. But again, they’re all just speculation.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2″ hits theaters this Friday.
