FREE PIZZA! And writing advice is going to be given away at UAY today.
UAY (United Action for Youth) is starting a Creative Writer’s Workshop for teens. It will be offered from 3:00-4:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
“UAY offers dance, music, and acting but we didn’t have any literature programs available before now, which I thought was crazy! Iowa City is a center for literature in the United States, and really the world,” said UAY organizer, Erin Shaw.
The program will be taught by the University of Iowa’s Fiction Writer’s Workshop graduate students.
The “inaugural” meeting of the Creative Writing Workshop will be held at 355 Iowa Ave. All are welcome and pizza will be served!
