Women of Troy take the win over the Little Hawks

The Little Hawks fought the whole game.

The Little Hawks fought hard last night at West High School against the Women of Troy in a cross city rivalry. The Women of Troy ended up taking the game with a final score of 61-71 West.

Little Hawk’s Courtney Joens played in the game after coming back from a knee injury that has kept her out for most of the season, scoring 7 points during the game. The other Joens on the team, Ashley Joens, scored the second most points during the game with 20 points. She also was put to the line the most and scored 15 points from the free throw line.

The number one scorer of the night was sophomore Kenya Earl with 21 points, Kenya ended up getting fouled out during the 4th quarter.

The Little Hawks started out the game with a few missed passes but then came raging back, taking the lead from West at the end of the 1st quarter with the score of 14-10, and went into the half with a lead of 36-30.

The Women of Troy came back fighting after half time taking the lead at the end of the third quarter 46-52 after the Little Hawks only scored 10 points during that quarter. The Women of Troy ended the game winning with the score of 61-71 but the Little Hawks fought till the end.
