Sixth ranked boys soccer qualified themselves for the Mississippi Division Championship next tuesday with a 5-2 victory over Cedar Falls yesterday at Schrader Field.
Forward Tyler Chavez ’12 earned his first high school hat trick, while team mates JD McCullough ’11 and Fernando Pacheco ’13 put up individual goals.
Chavez believes the key to his hat trick was due to how well rounded the team is.
“It was a combination of things, their was a good team effort.” Chavez said. “Anyone on our team can score, I was just in the right spot to finish them off.”
They will face Cedar Rapids Washington for the Mississippi Division title next Tuesday at Kingston Stadium.
