The City High girls swim team took on #14 ranked Linn-Mar at Mercer Park Tuesday. Linn-Mar edged out a victory, winning 97-89. This is City’s second loss out of three meets so far.

However, it was still a successful meet for Audrey Friestad ‘18 who swam a new personal best in the 50 freestyle, receiving a 30.55.

“My goal for this season is to break 30 seconds on my 50 free, which I’ve been looking forward to doing for a long time, and I’m very close,” Friestad said.

Adding to the girls swim team‘s success, Andrea Adam took first place in diving and Devan O’Rourke won the 100 and 200 freestyles. The JV 400 freestyle relay team also won, which included Makayda Johnson, Adri McCall, Eva Bailey and Erin O’Rourke.
