Both freshman volleyball teams lost to Linn-Mar Monday evening at their home opener. Red lost to Linn-Mar Black 25-13 and 25-9 and to Linn-Mar Red 25-13 and 25-12. White lost to Linn-Mar Black 25-7 and 25-19 and to Linn-Mar Red 25-11 and 25-19.
After a rough start, their coaches say there are still “great things to come” for the rest of the teams’ season.
“We are looking for good things to come in the rest of the season. We have a very athletic group of girls on the team. It will be fun to watch them grow throughout the rest of the season.” Red coach, Jan Grenko said.
