Waterloo West Pre-game Analysis

By: Kris Kindl

Tonight the Little Hawks suit up against Waterloo West. The Wahawks this season have had one key player #7 Daqweyvious Martin. Most of the plays they run, Martin gets the ball whether they’re running or passing.

Against Dubuque Wahlert Martin had 321 rushing, with an overall total of 560 all purpose yards. Tonight the Little Hawks defense will be tested by Martin. The returning All State d-lineman Amos Lavela will need help from Cortez Barfield and Nile Banks to stop Martin. If the Wahawks cant open up holes for Martin to run through, where will he go? Around the edge down the sideline? Jeremy Johnson, and Jasper Washington will be covering that area.

Drew Cornwell kicks a field goal against the Wahaw

Daqweyvious Martin is a good tailback, but the Little Hawks defense can handle it. With the talent, strength and speed that City High has, if they stay in position and stay aware City High the odds are good for another good game for the Little Hawks.
