The Best of Iowa City’s Local Gifts
Craft and Fancy is located at Home Ec Workshop in downtown Iowa City. The art is really nice and the prices are good, but there were a lot of purses, hair accessories, and jewelry. It definitely caters to a specific group of people.
The pressure to find the perfect gift for family and friends is very real during the holiday season, and the challenge is in no way helped by the rows and rows of identical, generic gifts sold by big retailers. Over the past couple weeks, I visited six of Iowa City’s holiday craft/shopping fairs, which sold unique gifts that won’t be found at Target.
