The Fresh-Soph soccer team had an up and down season as it tried to repeat last year’s conference championship.

The team had three losses in the middle of the season.

“Those losses to Washington and Prairie were bad, and really unfortunate. We should not have lost either of them,” Captain Andrew Tribbey ‘19 said. “I really had fun this season, we worked hard and it was a good season overall.”

City’s younger team won the Valley division but West won the the overall MVC championship.

“I think it was a good way to end the season. I’m glad we kept playing until the very end of the season and didn’t give up after a few tough losses,” Captain Dylan Proeller ‘19 said.

The Little Hawks ended the season at 9-3, with a strong last performance against Cedar Rapids Kennedy.

“Yeah it was a good way to end. I was hoping to go out on top but I really liked coaching this team,” Coach Troy Osborn said.
