Abrams also directed two Star Trek films and was a producer on the hit television series, Lost and 2016’s West World.
Currently, the second film of the new trilogy titled Star Wars: The Last Jedi is directed by Rian Johnson.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters December 15th, 2017 and Star Wars Episode IX hits theaters May 24th, 2019.
