In the main foyer of City High, a giant poster states the theme for each day of the 2017 spirit week. These themes were decided upon by the City High spirit club. The theme of Monday the 18th was Mismatch Monday, followed by Tacky Tourist Tuesday and then Class Color Wednesday. The freshmen are encouraged to wear purple, the sophomores orange, the juniors blue and the seniors tye dye. Thursday’s theme is generation day. Spirit Club’s idea was to have the students dress up as toddlers, babies or possibly old men. And finally like every annual spirit week at City High, Friday is extreme red and white day. Spirit week is a chance for students to show their school spirit during homecoming week.
