National Novel Writing Month Begins

Katherine Geerdes, Reporter

Throughout the month of November, some of City High’s writers are attempting to write a 50,000 word novel over the month. They will do this with the National Novel Writing Month organization, also known as NaNoWriMo.

One of those writers, Theo Prineas ‘18, previously participated every year since seventh grade, and won as a sophomore.

“For people participating in NaNoWriMo, you have to have some resolve. You have to really push. It’s hard, but it’s also a lot of fun,” said Prineas. “If you’re doing NaNoWriMo, writing club is a quiet place to work where anybody is welcome.” Writing club will meet Tuesdays and Fridays during the month of November in Ali Borger-Germann’s room.
