Girls Tennis Holds its Final Conference

The varsity girls tennis team finished their last conference match Tuesday afternoon, defeating Prairie High School 7-2. The girls placed second in their conference and will be competing in Team Regionals the following week.

“It was really windy so playing was hard, but my opponent and I were evenly matched which made me play better and made my match a fun challenge,” Jameson Reineke, 18’ said. “I hope that we all play our hardest in regionals and that no matter whether we win or lose, we come out happy knowing we tried our hardest.”

Singles:

Bihotza James-Lejarcegui won 11-9

Caroline Carter won 10-2

Kelsey Law won 10-6

Mary Liebig lost 7-10

Irene Samuelson won 10-8

Jameson Reineke won 10-6

 

Doubles:

Caroline Carter & Kelsey Law lost 6-10

Mary Liebig and Bihotza James-Lejarcegui won 10-6

Irene Samuelson and Jameson Reineke lost 5-10
