Girls Swim Team Places Fifth in the MVC

This past Saturday, October 13, the girls swim team broke records and placed fifth in the Mississippi Valley Conference. During the event, Carly Weigel ’20, Olivia Masterson ’20, Trinity Sadecky ’20, and Rika Yahashiri ’21 broke the Mississippi Conference record for the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:50.41.

Yahashiri got a place on the podium four times Saturday. She got in the top five for the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay, 50 free, and the 100 free. Masterson also won a place on the podium four times that day for the 200 medley relay, 200 individual medley, 200 free relay, and the 100 breaststroke. Weigel made it to the podium in the 200 free relay, 100 free, 200 medley relay, and the 100 backstroke. Sadecky was also on the podium three times for the 200 medley relay, 100 fly, and 200 free relay.

Erin O’Rourke ’19 went under six minutes on their 500 free, along with Portia Klefstad ’20 and Kate Wilson ’19 getting season bests in the 500 free.
