The City High Navigating Emotions and Stress Through Training (NESTT) program is having a fundraiser on November 18th, at Shorts EastSide from 5-8 p.m. 15% of proceeds will go directly to the NESTT program for materials and supplies for their new room.

“We are always looking for other educational materials to help our volunteers become better equipped, better mentors, and better listeners,” Doug Lestina, one of the NESTT coordinators said.

With construction still in progress and students online, the NESTT team has set up a website for students to use. It has different breathing exercises, live videos, and links to many websites for mental health and hotline phone numbers.

“Now we have a newsletter. We also have a way to actually sign in via doxy.me, so you can get private sessions to talk with somebody if you need to talk,” Lestina said. “By early January we hope to have [the NESTT training and learning room] equipped and furnished and ready to go.”New NESTT Program at City Means to Help Students Deal With Emotions and Stress
