Teacher Appreciation Column: Mr. Hoel Helped Me Get Through Math and School

Throughout my four years at City High there are many people who have helped me, but the teacher who I think deserves an appreciation column is my support and math teacher Mr. Hoel.

Mr. Hole retired last year, but left a huge impact on my life from being a true teacher who listened to me.  In his class, I loved our friendly man-to-man chats, like the time I was having a bad day during my sophomore year.

I was having trouble at home he took the time to listen to me and gave me advice on how I could handle it and made my day better.  I would call him a friend who helped me in my times of need.  Even when I was being a rude and uncooperative student he still helped me and had patience even when I stretched it thin at times.

One time, I kept up an attitude and wouldn’t do anything, but he still insisted me to get the work done to better my education. There are so many things to tell about Mr. hole that he’s a man of knowledge and tries to make things easier for even for the most complicated of students like me.

I am proud to write a teacher appreciation column for him and if he is to ever read this I want to say thank you for all the time you helped me in school.  You are a man I will remember.
