On Friday, April 6, City High students will combine their musical talents to benefit the downtown youth center United Action for Youth. Students Max Friedman ’13, Nat Alder ’13, and Avery Mossman ’13 organized the concert for their English service project.
“I feel like it’s a good deed,” Alder said. “Any money is good money. UAY is full of good people and many teens depend on them and I want to keep UAY open for as long as possible.”
Performers include Mossman and his father, Della Nuno ’12; Bass/Drum, with Alder and Gabriel Basile ’13, and headliner The Projectors with Friedman and Basile.
“The show will start out with more folk music, but will transition into rock,” Alder said. “The Projectors are our biggest act. They’re great people and I think they’re great musicians, too.”
The show is at United Action for Youth (355 Iowa Ave.) on Friday at 7:00 – 10:00 P.M.. Tickets are three dollars at the door and all funds benefit UAY.
