On Thursday, October 4, the Little Hawk girls and boys cross country teams went up to Cedar Falls to compete in the MVC Super Meet. Both teams placed second in their division, while both the girls and boys JV teams won their races.
“We were pretty excited because people didn’t think we were going to do that well.” Ellen Carman ’14 said. “We worked really well together in the race.”
The girls team had a strong finish, with all five scoring runners finishing in 13th-17th place. Carman lead the team, taking 13th place. The team finished in second place with 75 points.
Brook Price ’13 lead the boys team to a second place finish, coming in first place in the varsity race.
“It was awesome to win.” Price said. “It felt great.”
Price won the varsity meet with a time of 15:36.
Both teams will head to the MVC Conference meet next Thursday in Tuma.
