The City High boys basketball team has been working hard in practice to improve themselves over last season. Last year’s basketball season left a lot to be desired, the boys finished the season 9-14. A new expectation has been set by incoming head coach Don Showalter and the team is responding well to the challenge. Participation in two-a-day practices has been at an all time high.
According to Andrew Hein ‘13 the team has been focusing on their intensity throughout the first week of practices.
“Practices have been going great so far. We’ve had great energy so far and have improved alot since the beginning,” Hein said.
The teams goals for this season are to improve their record from last year, work harder each day and to stay positive throughout the season. It would appear from the play witnessed at the Jamboree this past week that the team is on it’s way to meeting these goals.

Admission to the scrimmage is 2 canned goods and $2.00, or $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. Passes will not be accepted.
