The 8th annual Reach your Potential Banquet was held Thursday April 8th in the City High commons with high attendance.
Seventeen students ninth through twelfth grade received awards for their improvement in their academic life and social behavior throughout their time at City High. Faculty and staff nominated students in February and a committee selected the final 17 recipients.
“There was a great story behind every one of these students,” said principal Mark Hanson. “Antron Henderson and Amber Shaffer were some of the stand outs,” said Hanson.
Santiago Marcelino ’11 was one of the juniors nominated for his improvement. Misel Martinez ’12 selected Ms. Foreman for her work as his English teacher. Varsity football head coach Dan Sabers was the guest speaker at the banquet. Sabers gave a speech on “reaching” your potential.
