The massive new turf behind CHS has been completed. One thing remains to be built however, the Little Hawk scoreboard.
Since the team will be playing their games on the new turf behind City High, they are taking matters into their own hands.
This Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Hy-Vee drugstore, the Girls Soccer team will be hosting a fundraiser.
To participate in the fundraiser, people can shop at the Hy-Vee drugstore March 28-30 and show a voucher at the register. 5% of each purchase will be given to the team.
There will also be girls in the store during some of the store’s hours, handing out the vouchers to people who walk in. The girls on the team are confident the fundraiser will work.
“I think people in our community are willing to help,” Claire Rutherford, ‘16 said. “They want to see City High succeed.”
