Teacher Appreciation Column: Ottmar Brings the Jazz Vibes to Make Students Better

Dear Mr. Ottmar, 

I appreciate all of my teachers this year but, my favorite teacher this year is you. You are very dedicated as a band director and, you help everyone improve every day. I enjoyed all of your jokes and puns throughout each week, whether it was in Jazz Lab or Symphonic Band. I think that you are an amazing teacher, not because of the vibes that you bring into this school, but because of how nice you are to me every day. You also went above and beyond when Mr. Kowbel had to leave for four weeks, taking over four jazz bands and all of the regular band classes with the help of Mr. Pringle. I thought through this year especially, during COVID. 

You have made symphonic band and jazz band so much fun this year to the point where I forgot COVID existed because I was having so much fun.
