All are welcomed to come shimmy and shake at the annual Dance for Humanity, held Saturday, February 22nd from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm at the Old Brick Church downtown Iowa City.

Sponsored by City High’s volunteer club, Interact, and West High’s volunteer club, 1440,  Dance for Humanity is a unique opportunity to meet new people and contribute to a good cause. It is a public and family-friendly event in which all profits are generously donated to Habitat for Humanity, a program that works to provide safe and affordable homes to low-income families.

The night will include refreshments, a silent auction, door prizes, and even dance lessons. The dance will feature the University of Iowa jazz band and a dance instructor to teach everyone a few new moves.

“We will salsa, cha cha, and waltz. It’ll be fun to try,” said Emma Greimann ’14. “Even if you’re clumsy like me!”

Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.
