The Rundown:  Following a (30-6) loss to crosstown rival West High, The Little Hawks prepare to travel to Ottumwa to take on the (3-1) Bulldogs on Friday September, 26.

Friday marks the first day of the new Class 4A District Football season, following the first four non-district games.

Friday’s game will be the first meeting between the Little Hawks and Bulldogs since 1995 where The Little Hawks won (28-7) in a first round playoff game.

Ottumwa is currently (3-1) after losing in double-overtime (32-26) to Indianola.  Lead by rushing leader and linebacker #2 Isaiah Cox, who rushed for 1271 yards last season, the Bulldogs run a 3-5 Cover 3 Defense with a slanting D-Line.

This week the Little Hawks will be without starting running back #1 Bryson Runge due to injury.  Possible stand-ins are running backs Mike Fredieu ‘15 and Dejuan McKenny ‘15.
