The Rundown:  Coming off of their two game winning streak, The Little Hawks prepare for Thursday night where they will take on Washington High School Warriors on October 16, 2014.

Thursday’s game will start the 4th week of district play in the state of Iowa.  The Little Hawks are now (2-5) after pulling off their second straight win against (38-21) Burlington.

Washington is currently (7-0) and ranked number one team in the state after coming off a big win (43-26) against Jefferson.

With a third win Thursday night, the Little Hawks could claim the number one spot in their district while securing a much desired playoff spot.

The Warriors won’t make it easy. In the backfield for Washington are #22 Tavian Patrick and #34 Johnny Dobbs, who together have 150 rushing attempts for a total of 1,122 yards. Averaging 7.5 yards a carry, Patrick and Dobbs lead the team with 12 touchdowns.

Washington’s passing game is lead by #3 QB Reid Snitker who has made 76 attempts at pass, managing a 46.1% completion rate which is just below City High’s sophomore QB #15 Nate Wieland, whose 87 pass attempts this season have resulted in a 50.6% completion rate.

On defense, the Little Hawks are led by #4 Erick Fletcher who has 34 solo tackles for the 14’-15’ season while the Warriors are led by #44 Connor Vincent who has an impressive 54 solo tackles on the season.
