Imagine a Harry Potter-esque world where the images in newspapers and magazines aren’t still and dull, but rather jump to life in your hands. An increasingly popular app is steering technology in that direction, and The Little Hawk has decided to experiment with it.

Aurasma is a free app set out to revolutionize the way people see and interact with the world. Since the app’s launch in 2011, Aurasma has become the world’s leading augmented reality platform. According to their website, the company’s vision is “to enable an augmented world, where every image, object and place has its own Aura.”

When you pick up the February issue of The Little Hawk,  you will be able to look for Aurasma logos in photos throughout the issue. Hold the trigger in your Aurasma app over each of these photos and watch the magic unfold before your eyes.  For this to work you need to follow the Little Hawk’s channel from your own account.

The Aurasma app can be used on iPhone or Android smartphones and tablets.
