Kendrick Lamar announces sophomore LP

Welcome back, K.Dot.

After more than a two year hiatus, Compton’s own is blessed with the dubious task of following up his critically acclaimed debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city.

Kendrick has put out a low volume of tracks since his 2012 debut, the most recent being the uncharacteristically radio-friendly “i”, released in September and the hard hitting, social comment “The Blacker The Berry” that was released as a single in February.

The announcement came via Lamar’s seldom used Twitter account, ending speculation that the album was going to be released without a title. The bold cover depicts a group of men standing over a judges body in front of the White House.

To Pimp A Butterfly is available for preorder now on iTunes.
