Bobby Jindal Comes to Iowa City

Presidential candidate Bobby Jindal visited Iowa City this past Wednesday, September 30th. He hosted a town hall event sponsored by the group ‘Believe Again’ at the Celebration Farm.

Jindal started the evening by telling the audience of about twenty about himself. He then opened up the rest of the time for questions, which ranged from questions about himself and his policies to question about other candidates.

Over the course of the evening, Jindal spoke of his actions and accomplishments as Louisiana Governor. Jindal reduced Louisiana’s state budget by 26%, has its high school graduation rates at an all time high, and put the state in the top 10 for private sector job growth.  He also mentioned he believes in reducing the size of government and implementing term limits. Overall, he has been slowly rising in the polls with a favorability rating of 61%.
