Last Friday, Courtney Joens ’16, who has 251 points this season, and has committed to play at the University of Illinois reached 1,000 points against Dubuque Hempstead.

“It’s a great accomplishment, only a certain amount of people can do it,” Joens said of reaching the milestone.

Joens joins other Little Hawks Haley Lorenzen ’14, Micky Hanshe ’13, as the most recent Little Hawks to reach 1,000 points.

“It has always been a goal of mine since I was a freshman, seeing my freshman year Micky Hanshe scored, and then my sophomore year, Haley Lorenzen scored 1,000, so just seeing them do it made me want to do it,” Joens said.
