Gucci Mane is back at it again with another album for the people, however with the release of his latest album, Woptober, Gucci Mane proves he is really about the people making the album available for free and releasing it three days early.

Woptober is Gucci Mane’s second commercial album since he was released from prison earlier this summer.

Following his first release since his imprisonment, Everybody Looking, Gucci Mane continues to feed into his legacy of trap style rap.

Normally when artists release two full length albums in a year, they’re just asking for a side by side comparison of the two soundtracks, however lately I’ve been finding it hard to find which one of Gucci’s albums seems to top the other.

With good features in the soundtrack such as Young Thug, Rick Ross and Metro Boomin, it’s easy to tell Gucci is surrounding himself with artists that fit the same sound the MC left us with and returned with.

Gucci Mane’s release from prison has proven to be a significant part of our culture with the release Everybody Looking, but now with the release of a second full length album that just about tops the first one, Gucci Mane is slowly working his way back up the ranks as one of the best MC’s of our generation.

FINAL RATING: 8.5/10

BEST TRACKS: Money Machine, Hi-Five
