The City High athletic department will give away 200 tickets to the first 200 students to arrive at Tuesday’s sub-state girls basketball game against #9 Ankeny Centennial on Tuesday night. The funding for the tickets was provided by an anonymous community donor. Principal John Bacon is excited for the game and hopes that students will take advantage of the opportunity to get in for free.

“I’m looking for a gigantic student section tomorrow night,” Bacon said. “Our girls deserve it. We want to make sure we have a strong home court advantage and I think that really helps our girls and they feed off the crowd.”

The game will tip off at 7:00 tomorrow night at City High with the winner advancing to the state tournament to play on March 1st at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
