Swimmers Fall to #7 Cedar Falls

In the final event, the 400 freestyle relay as Mickale Sadecky ‘18 surged through the water as the last leg in the relay touching first for City High, winning the event. The relay won by 20 seconds, but that just wasn’t enough.

The final score was 107-62 with #7 ranked Cedar Falls taking the win over City High.

“It was a strong showing for our final dual meet this season,” Head Coach Zan Hugo said. “Cedar Falls is ranked very highly and we competed with them in every event.”

In the last dual meet of the year against Cedar Falls taking home many event wins. Forrest Frazier ‘20 ended the night winning the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley. Eric Thomas ‘18 also came on top with a big win in the 200 freestyle.

“I’m not in the best shape I’ve ever been in,” Thomas said. “But I really like where we are today as a team.”

The swim team will be back next week swimming at the Burlington Invitational.

“I feel like we have accomplished so much as a team this year than any season,” Sadecky said. “I’m confident that we can keep on improving and training so we can perform well in the pool at districts and state.”
