Do you still have an old ukulele lying around from that family trip to Hawaii? Lucky for you, Ukulele Club is looking for new members.

“This club  is for ukulele players who want to join and be a part of a community that includes other ukulele players.” The club’s founder, Jazsmine Vanpelt ’20 said.

The group is also looking for donations in the form of ukuleles in an effort to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to learn how to play the tiny string instrument, even those that do not own one. All donated instruments will go to a kind and loving home among a family of music enthusiasts.

Ukulele Club will take place every Wednesday after school in room 0502 (the art room), until 5:10. The first official meeting of the club took place Wednesday, March 28th.

If you are interested in contributing to the Ukulele drive, stop by the next meeting and speak to either Jazsmine Vanpelt, or club sponsor, Ms. Knutson about how you can help bring sound to the halls of City High.
