Both City High soccer teams will compete at the University of Iowa soccer complex on Saturday in the substate playoffs.

The girls team kicks off at 10:00 am in a rematch against West High. The girls will be looking for a repeat of their dominating 4-0 victory over the Trojans in the regular season.

The boys game follows at noon as City takes on the Ottumwa Bulldogs in the sub-state final. With a trip to the state tournament on the line, it’s survive and advance for the Little Hawks who have their eyes on the program’s first state title. Both Ottumwa and City entered the playoffs with first round byes and easily handled their second round opponents.
