The air buzzed with anticipation and excitement as the competitors began teeing off for the 4a district golf meet at Elmcrest Country Club on October Fifth. At the end City High placed 12th out of the 14 schools competing, achieving a new season team best score of 378.

“It was hard adjusting to the season with all the changes due to Covid, but I wouldn’t give it up for anything. It’s been fun playing for City and I’m glad my last round was my best,” Cooper Kirshling ’21 said.

Kirshling led the City High team with a score of 83 strokes managing to get a new personal best. In addition to Kirshling’s performance, everyone else on the varsity team also managed to get a season best score, further improving the team’s overall performance.
