Students gathered at the Trojan field to watch the City High Varsity Football Team play against West High in the second playoff game of the postseason. To advance further in the offseason, it was crucial for the team to win this game.

“The football game made everything feel a little more normal even if it looked different with masks and social distancing. I was happy to see my friends,” online student, Autumn Morreli ‘22 said.

The team was down 28-0 during halftime and the game ended with West defeating City with a final score of 35-7, making it the final game of the year for the City High team.

“We had our chances to win games and just made too many little mistakes that hurt us,” Gable Mitchell 22’ said. “We have a lot of work to do before thinking about next season. [We] can’t get ahead of ourselves.”
