“Some of the seniors encouraged me to pick it because it was my first year at City and I was the only freshman on varsity," said Hazel Schluckebier '28. "I have also always looked up to the Nebraska setter Nicklin Hames, who wore the #1. Now I wear this number for club and high school because it represents all of the love the upperclassmen gave me my freshman year!”

What was your favorite memory of this past summer?
So this summer, I went on a trip with my family. We went to Germany. We got a bunch of family in Germany, so we were visiting them, and I met up with my cousins, and we went and took a trip into the mountains. And there’s this really cool hike that we’ve gone on a couple times, but the lake that you hike to has never been this clear.
So when we got there, it was very surprising. We were very tempted to just jump in right away. But we did the hike first, and then we came back and we jumped in later. The water was super clear. You could see the bottom probably, probably like 15-20 feet deep, it was awesome.
