Michella Chester is a freelance sports reporter and host. She works as a reporter for NCAA volleyball, as well as baseball and softball. She also does sideline coverage for Big Ten sporting events and ESPN volleyball. Her resume speaks volumes for the content she puts out. The amount of work experience that she has under such big networks shows a lot of credibility. I watch her videos on instagram, but if I want to read something more in depth I read her articles on the NCAA volleyball site.
Along the same line as Michella, I also go to Emily Ehman for volleyball information. She is a sports broadcaster, Big Ten analyst, and works in the social media industry for NCAA volleyball. When I watch collegiate volleyball games I like to listen to her because she is always full of information. On instagram I like to watch her interviewing collegiate players to learn more about them and the school itself. She asks great questions and holds good interviews. Her work experience also shows a lot of credibility and it is clear she knows what she’s talking about. The NCAA volleyball site has similar reporters that write unbiased articles about college volleyball, so I will always go there for new information.
For club volleyball, my most commonly used site for information is PrepDig, specifically the reporter Rob Howe. PrepDig is a site that ranks players and comes out with new articles about specific teams, players, and positions nearly every week. Howe has experience through exposure and he has written about basketball, football, baseball, and volleyball. He has a wide skill set and is also known as a prominent photographer on the site. I trust him to write unbiased articles about all levels of players. I learn a lot about other players and teams through his writing, and he does a good job of focusing on players’ successes.
