American Songwriter – @americansongwriter
I like this website because they have numerous articles varying in length that are very organized and easy to read, while staying interesting as well. I do believe that it is credible because they have several writers that have consistently had evidence and reasoning to back up their musical claim. Every time I read one of their articles, I trust that I am receiving accurate and ordered facts. The paragraphs are brisk, yet highly informative, and I enjoy their use of photos/videos. I can’t say that I have a specific writer in mind that is my favorite because all of the articles I’ve read– usually with different authors–have all been very well-written.
BBC Music Magazine – @bbc6music
I know that this magazine is accurate because the BBC has a very credible reputation in journalism. I like reading their articles because the information is laid out for you and they are very easy to read. My favorite author is Steve Wright because he is very direct while also maintaining a semi-informal tone throughout the article, making it more enjoyable to read. Like American Songwriter, this website has short and easy to read paragraphs accompanied by photos of every artist. I wholeheartedly trust this source to deliver valid information to me as a reader.
First of all, I am very appreciative of this magazine’s design because it is aesthetically pleasing and draws a lot of attention to itself. I also am glad that they present a lot of variety in their genres, music eras, artists, etc. Al Shipley is my favorite writer from this magazine because he puts a lot of detail and emotion into his writing while remaining formal and mature. His writing is like a breath of fresh air because he is honest and experienced. He lays out the information very well, making his work a lot easier and enjoyable to read.
