I am really interested in politics and crime. When I research these topics, my most trusted news reporters are CNN, the Associated Press, and MSNBC. Often, these trusted sources help me learn more about what is going on around me. In a crazy world, it’s important to have news you trust.
On CNN, I find myself drawn to the reporter Brian Stelter. Stelter is a Chief Media Analyst at CNN. He often posts separate articles about happenings in the media, as well as politics. His most recent article describes the plan he has instated during his time as president, and the striking similarities between his “Doctrine” and the Monroe Doctrine. He is an accomplished man who has nearly perfected the craft of journalism.
On AP, I find myself drawn to Andrea Rodriguez. She is a reporter at the Associated Press. Recently she’s been covering the happenings of Cuba, post Maduro’s capture. Additionally, she resides in Cuba, most of her journalism is about the culture, spirit, and politics of her country. Her newest article recounts the words of government officials on the high number of Cuban deaths in Venezuela.
On MSNBC, I find myself drawn to Zeeshan Aleem. He is a writer and editor for MS Now. He typically covers, not so much news but more so, his opinion on politics. More recent articles of his regard Zohran Mamdani, Donald Trump, as well as Majorie Taylor Green. My favorite article of his is titled “Mamdani makes no apologies about his socialism in his first address as mayor.” This article perfectly describes the character of Mamdani, what he truly believes in, and how he acts. This is something that is important when you are unable to see him or speak to him in real life.
