My top three places to look at wrestling news would be IAWrestle, FloWrestling, and the IHSAA website. These are my favorite places because they are very reliable sources I go to for wrestling information. IAWrestle is usually the first site I check because it focuses specifically on Iowa wrestling, which matters to me since Iowa is one of the strongest wrestling states in the country. One of the main writers connected to Iowa wrestling coverage is Jeff Linder, who has years of experience covering wrestling in the state. IAWrestle also travels to many events, so when I get back to the hotel after a tournament, I can check the site and see highlights, results, and updates from the day. The writers and contributors clearly understand the sport and the athletes they cover, and they consistently post rankings, match results, previews, and recaps that are accurate and easy to follow.
On the other hand, FloWrestling covers wrestling on a national level, but I trust it because it is run by experienced journalists and analysts who follow the sport year-round and know what they are talking about. Some of the writers and personalities I trust the most on FloWrestling include Kyle Klingman. FloWrestling does more than just report scores by breaking down matches, ranking wrestlers, and telling stories about athletes, which helps me understand why certain matches or tournaments are important and newsworthy.
The IHSAA website is not as cool as the other two sources, but it is the most official and dependable place to find information about high school wrestling in Iowa. Since it is run by the organization that governs high school sports, with content produced by IHSAA staff, I know the schedules, brackets, rules, and tournament results are correct. These three sources also produce their content in different ways, which makes them useful for different reasons, whether it is fast updates, deeper analysis, or official confirmation. Together, IAWrestle, FloWrestling, and the IHSAA keep me informed about wrestling at the local, state, and national levels.
