Ashley Joens ‘18 is ranked the #19 women’s high school basketball player in the United States and #7 in her position as guard forward. She has been nominated for KCRG’s Athlete of the Week. Athletes of the Week are voted for and featured on the KCRG website.

“I am voting for her. I think it’s important to support ICCSD in our sports. Being voted Athlete of the Week is a big deal in Eastern Iowa,” said Ella Lowry ‘18. “She’s definitely a force to be reckoned with. She’s up fighting there, and it seems like she really enjoys the game.”

Joens averaged 19.3 points per game and 8.9 rebounds last year, as a junior. This year, as a senior, she has played in two City High games so far, with two months remaining.
