The City High drama department is currently preparing for their rendition of the Tony Award-winning pop operatic musical Les Miserables. A behemoth of a show with a large orchestra, demanding set, and challenging music, it also requires a whopping cast.

Auditions for Les Miserables will be held January 22nd and 23rd after school in the choir room. All those interested are encouraged to try out.

To help students prepare for these auditions, an informational meeting will be held next Tuesday, January 15th, after school in Room #1510. This meeting will provide students with information about the plot, characters, and demand of being in a musical. Students will also receive a detailed explanation of what will be expected during auditions and can receive a music cutting to practice with. However, students are welcome to sing a song from the show or another piece of their choice.

For those interested in being involved but not performing, Les Miserables will also require an extensive and dedicated tech crew. Information about tech meetings will be available in the future.
