On March 10, 2024, the 96th Academy Awards were presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), honoring films released in 2023. From actors to models, multiple stars graced the Oscars red carpet. With that, here are some of my favorite looks of the night.

Greta Lee, the star of the Best Picture nominee, Past Lives, graced the red carpet in a simple but elegant Loewe black dress with white strips of fabric draped across. She paired the dress with diamond jewels with her diamond paper clip style earrings standing out most.

Best Actress winner Emma Stone’s attended the night in a beautiful seafoam gown, although it had snapped in the back by the end of the night. The Louis Vuitton dress featured a peplum-style skirt over a straight, longer skirt with the color of her strapless dress complimenting her matching Louis Vuitton necklace.

Anya Taylor Joy wore a custom Dior crystal-encrusted scalloped dress, referencing and drawing inspiration from 2 archive Dior gowns from the FW49 collection, “Junon” and “Venus.” The gown was a combination of the scalloped look of the “Junon” dress and the bodice details of the “Venus” gown. The Dune 2 star also paired the dress with Tiffany & Co necklace and earrings.

Men’s outfits at awards shows aren’t usually anything impressive but Colman Domingo pulled off the simple look in a black Louis Vuitton suit. The suit was accessorized with intricate buttons, rings, a brooch tie, and flare pants covering steel toed cowboy boots.

Lily Gladstone’s blue dress featured a collaboration with Gucci and Native American designer, Joe Big Mountain. The blue velvet dress was laced with hand-beaded flowers, showing tribute to her Native American culture.

America Ferrera showed up on the red carpet in a Barbie Pink Versace dress. Ferrera was nominated for best supporting actress. The pink dress was in stark contrast to her co-star Margot Robbie, who wore an all black look. Robbie, who was a common nominee this awards season, missed out, and these dresses were likely worn to give Ferrera a chance to shine in her first nomination this year.
