Mr. Bacon kicked off the school year with a rousing speech at the first-day assembly on Wednesday, August 21. Ms. Fettweis spoke after Mr. Bacon about how we “lift each other up” at City High. The assembly opened and closed with music, first from the marching band and later from the school’s rock band, which performed Queen’s “We Are The Champions.”
