Thespian Banquet Awards Recap

Excitement filled the air as participants of this years drama program filed into the top floor of  The Clinton Street Social Club for the annual City High Thespian Banquet that took place last night. Hors d’eouvres were served, and laughter was shared as teens reminisced over the years triumphs in theatre. Not only did Mary Poppins sell out all four shows, but tech and set crew surpassed expectations for both The Diviners and the spring musical.

Awards were given for individual performances, with Best Newcomer going to Kyle Irish- Gorvin (‘17), Best Supporting Actor going to Ellis Fontana (‘16), Best Supporting Actress going to Jilly Cooke (‘17), Best Actor going to Jared Kilburger (‘15), Best Actress going to Addie Bass (‘17), and Best Techie going to Ailsa Burke (‘17), who was awarded the coveted golden hammer for her efforts in lighting.
